With focus to centralise its transaction activities and block linkages for full scale revenue generation, the Osun State Government on said it would monitor all its financial transactions through software known as Osun Treasury Single Account Software.
Supervisor for Ministry of Finance, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, further said the move was aimed at making budgetary provisions easier and creating room for transparency in governance.
Presenting the initiative to senior civil servants in his office, Oyebamiji said the software would also enable government to monitor whatever goes in and comes out of the state treasury.

He said the system would help to check fraud as no agency or individual would be able to raise any memo for money without the knowledge of the governor.
He said, “We need to move with the times. Governance all over the world is about transparency and accountability, and there is technology out there which we can use to aid the process of transparency and that is what we are trying to do in Osun.”
He added, “Government will no longer be run like a charity or private enterprise but like a purposeful venture which will be for the benefit of all Osun people.”
