Disturbed with the growing rate of cybercrime in the country, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is holding a workshop on Cybersecurity in some major cities.
Director General of NITDA, Dr Isa Ibrahim, said given the increasing incidences of cybercrime in the country, it’s important to organize a workshop on the menace.
He explained that the agency will sensitive Nigerians on different antics of internet fraudsters in order to give them information and knowledge required to move ahead of the criminals.
“Cyber security has attracted the attention of governments, enterprises, groups and individuals owing to the myriads of potential for business growth, damage, national security and sovereignty.
“We will embark on sensitization of the public which will be done in some cities,” he said.
