SEC Sets Up Special Committee on FinTech For Capital Markets


The Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) has set up a special committee on FinTech for capital markets. The committee was tasked to develop a roadmap for capital markets driven by technology.

Ms. Mary Uduak, the Ag. Director General of SEC announced this in Abuja  at the Fintech Learning Series held  for all staff of the SEC in Abuja by the Fintech Association of Nigeria.

Mr. Ade Bajomo, Executive Director Operations & Technology at Access Bank Plc and the Vice President, FintechNGR was appointed the Chairman of the committee.

Other members are , Olufemi Awoyemi, Dr (Mrs) Yinka David-West, Tunji Eleso, Wole Oyeniran,   Prof Gbolahan Elias,  Anu Eso,  Albert Adu, Kevin Enueshike, Gbite Oduneye,  Lucky Uwakwe, Bolaji Onibudo, Muhammad Inusa, Jay Ukachukwu, Bayo Adewolu and Dapo Adewole

Further, FintechNGR was tasked to use its network in developing a department dedicated to Fintech at SEC once fully set up.
