Lack of funding has been identified as a major constraint slowing the growth and quality of online education around the world.

The President of Beni America University, Gossy Ukanwoke, said that funding an institution is not a one-time effort but a continuous effort that must be consistent.

He emphasized that good education is not cheap, likewise getting high quality world-class lecturers.

“Good equipment is expensive. If you want to equip a laboratory for 100 students, it is not cheap”,

The educator said that the best way to get fund is to seek genuine source that align with the organisation’s vision via donations from individuals, major organisations and endowment fund that can support education.

Ukanwoke said that BAU carry out regular assessment of the students to determine the level of assimilation and learning.

“We conduct this assessment before the students graduate and when they are graduating. For our professional education programme we have over 8,000 students that have gone through the systems for the professional education. Many of them have been promoted in their places of work. Others have setup their own businesses”

He said this development attested to the quality of education BAU offer the students. To up the ante, he explained, the university did not instruct students with video courses but now “we have video courses that get students engage and to measure feedback”, he said.
